New Sewer Connection carried out in Royal Tunbridge Wales. | New Sewer Connection Experts

POSTED: December 21, 2016

Our customer sent a request through our website, as they were building a new house and they wanted to have it connected to the public sewer. We sent our lead engineer Dan Hudson to site to talk to the customer about the works and plan for works.

Once back in the office our new sewer connection administration team started applying for the licences which are needed to carry out works within the highway – The section 106 application (permission to discharge into the public sewer) and section 50 application (permission to excavate in the road). Once we had been given permission from the local water authority and local council we began the works.

Our team arrived on site on Monday morning, we excavated a trench from the boundary of our customer’s property into the footpath and road. Installing the new pipework within the trench we reached the public sewer in the road. We contacted the local water authority who attended the site while we made the connection to the public sewer. The inspector passed our works and we proceeded to finish the agreed works.

We back filled our excavation and reinstated the road and footpath. We explained the works that had been carried out with our customer so they understood the system that we had installed. We then left site leaving our customer with a guarantee.
