Name: Dan Hudson
Position: CEO/Director of Business
Experience: 20+ years in the industry
About Dan:
Dan is the company CEO and Director for Below Ground Solutions Ltd, He started the business in 2017 after previously working the industry with other companies which included Manager of Combined Services, Regional manager at Lanes, Regional Manger of Ansa Utilities, Supervisor of works at External Services Group. All of these roles gave Dan the experience required to create a productive company that is committed to quality and transparency for all of its clients. Dan is actively a face on site and a point of contact for both customers and his team. He is committed to providing what the customers need and has an approachable nature. Below Ground Solutions had considerable growth in its first 2 years of business under Dans control and operated in 2 areas (southwest/south east) until mid 2022 when BGS sold the South East part of the business to a large national drainage company, this was enable Below Ground to pursue further growth and services in the South West area. Lee woods was also appointed as a director in 2022 to assist Dan with BGS growth and controls. Dan is always happy to discuss requirements and can be contacted here dan@belowgroundsolutions.co.uk

Position: Director of Operations

About Lee :
Lee has been with Below Ground Solutions Ltd since it began in 2017 and has played a key role in running the business.
Lee started with in the drainage, water and utilities industry over 18yrs ago and has experience in a vast array of roles in this time, Lees growing experience led to him being appointed as a director of the business in 2022. Lees qualities include Heath and Safety awareness, Problem solving, customer services, project management and company branding.
Current roles with in the company include contracts management, Teams and project management and the continued development of the company in its sustainability and growth.
Name: Annabel Ricketts
Position: Office Manager/PA to Directors/ Street works coordinator
Experience: 10 years + within administration Management Roles
About:
Annabel joined Below Ground Solutions 3 years ago and her role has evolved with the business and Annabel has become a key part of the Below Ground Team, her experience in customer services and project organisation is key to her role and her friendly approachable nature is a welcome quality for both customers and the team. For us to be efficient and the projects run to plan its essential that all planning and pieces of the puzzle come together on time and it is thanks to Annabel that this happens and leads to the successful completion of our projects. We also do a lot of works with the water authority’s and local councils and as you would expect the paper work and legal documents that accompany these tasks has be on point and thank fully because of her meticulous approach we get this right every time.
Name: Lewis Harding
Position: Supervisor
Experience: 10 years in the industry
About Lewis:
Lewis has now been with the company since its incorporation but prior to this he worked with Dan Hudson for another company for several years and has progressed to becoming a supervisor. Lewis is highly trained in varied tasks and will always give 100%. Lewis has always showed great loyalty and willing to learn and willing to teach others and we are lucky to have him here. If you have the pleasure of having lewis on your site I am sure you will agree. Lewis is highly trained in shoring and trench support he is also trained in confined spaces, street works, HPWJ, CCTV and all aspects of drainage and water repair. This gives us reassurance that out sites are safe and the jobs get completed as planned.
Name: luke Steele
Position: Supervisor
Experience: 15 Years Plus
About Luke:
Luke has worked along side Daniel for over 15 years for various companies and Below Ground Solutions are very lucky to have him in the team, Luke specialises in street works, new sewer connections and off main drainage installations all of which involve a high level of health and safety management and attention to detail as the work is often in traffic/pedestrian sensitive areas. His ability to overcome the unknown issues that arise during groundworks is commendable and his loyalty and workmanship are excellent. Lukes customers always praise him on his clean and today sites and attention to detail, he is approachable and accommodating which is often of high demand on sites where the world has to carry on around us while we are working. Luke is trained in confined space operations, operating plant, street works accredited and is an excellent teacher to new starters and team members.

Position: Senior Team Leader
Experience: 3 Years
About Dan:
Dan is one of them rare cases where someone joins you by chance as a labourer and you quickly realise that you have got a team leader on your hands, although Dan had done other construction roles prior to joining us he had never done exactly what we do, but we could clearly see that it would not take long for him to pick it up. With a little bit of coaching and very little time Dan progressed to being a team leader. He manages his sites really well and the people that work with him respect him for his approachable manner. Because Dan had experience in other elements of construction that were transferable skills it enabled us to take on projects we would not normally take on. The most common feedback we receive from our customers about Dan is his attention to detail in regards to finishing and reinstatement and that he keeps them updated throughout the whole project with what is going on and when so that the works are transparent and minimise disruption. It is a real pleasure to have Dan on board and he has a very bright future at Below Ground Solutions.
Name: Ryan Wilkins
Position: Team Leader
Experience: 2 Years +
About Ryan:
Ryan joined Below Ground Solutions around two years ago and worked as a labourer to a team leader, he was very switched on, and we could see he knew how to organise a site. with some basic training in health and safety aspects and other parts associated to his role he quickly climbed into the position of a senior team leader. On a daily basis, Ryan and and his team installs sewage treatment plants and off main drainage systems. he is very thorough with his work and very good with our customers expectations. Other members of the team enjoy working with Ryan as he has a very laid-back presence on site which makes him approachable for both the team members and the customers. It seems nothing is too much trouble for Ryan and anything he is not confident in, He quickly become so. Ryan is trained in many aspects of health and safety awareness and also trained to enter confined spaces. we are very lucky that Ryan is part of the team and we know he has a great future with us.
Name: Luke Heath
Position: Team leader
Experience: 2 Years
About Luke:
luke joined BGS around 2 years ago, it’s a family affair when it comes to luke as he is one of 3 brothers that all worked at BGS, all 3 of them are a credit to the family and have a great working ethos. Luke is a smart and efficient team member he works beside the senior team leaders and is a key part of the process. He’s always polite, punctual and ready to work. He is experienced in off main drainage installations and New sewer connections. Luke is trained in various aspects of on-site health and safety and also trained in confined space entry.
Luke is more than capable of running a team and often fills in to cover holidays and supply support to the trainees. luke has a great future at BGS and i’m sure if he is on your project you will see why.
Name: Sam Heath
Position: Trainee Ground worker
Experience: 2 years +
About Sam:
Sam is another of the 3 Heath brothers that we are fortunate to have had on board, He joined us as a young trainee and in his time with us he has shown us huge loyalty and perseverance. He has been teamed with all of the above candidates and passed around to cover holidays and been a third man on the larger projects. He had not done this line of work before so it was a challenge for Sam, one that we often take for granted and despite being new to this industry he has always pushed forward learning new things and always giving his best. He now works in a 2 man team as the labourer and has shown massive growth here. As a young team member he takes and dishes out a lot of banter and always has a smile and is a pleasure to be around. It is very satisfying for us to see the growth of some one that knew nothing about the industry and then you would trust him on a site without question to always do the right thing so we thank Sam for showing this determination and respect. He has been trained in site health and safety and successfully installs Off main drainage systems week in week out and also learns new and old methods of drain repair.He is well mannered and always punctual. He is a credit to his family and the business. All the time Sam wants to be here and grow with us we are happy to have him.
Name: Charlie Elson-Whistler
Position: Trainee Ground worker
Experience: 1 Year +
About Charlie:
Charlie started at Below Ground as a Trainee and has quickly shown his willing to learn the role and get involved. Always polite and supportive to the team he is working with he is great to have on board. In his time here he has worked hard to learn various parts of the role and is always keen to learn the next task. Charlie shows great signs of progress and we will support him and continue to show him the ropes.
Name: Kyran Wilkins
Position: Trainee Ground worker
Experience: 1 years +
About Kyran:
Kyran joined us just over a year ago as a trainee and has already evolved into a skilled team member and progressed very quickly. He shows signs of progress every day and has cemented himself into his team and his role. Kyrans biggest qualities are being great with our customers as the feedback we receive is always how polite and accommodating he is, his willingness to get involved with any task confident or not to better his progress is a true sign of a great engineer and he is always well prepared and punctual. It is great to see young team members come through into engineers and we are very lucky to have Kyran in the team.
